Oh hello! We’re all here for the body corp, aren’t we?!
All the Blockheads are as well, as soon and Britt and Taz arrive back from their winner’s night away.
To recap, Britt and Taz were forbidden from working on their deck yesterday because they had worked ahead on the subframe last week – which is against Block rules.
But Stratco’s work on site yesterday meant no one was able to get cracking on their decks – so the rest of the group are seeking a further delay until they can all get on a level playing field.
Following?

Alicia says the group believes Britt and Taz should not be able to start their deck until everyone else has also completed their subframes.
That’s not something Britt and Taz are happy to cop.
Everyone is adamant it’s not personal, but Britt and Taz also disagree with that.
“We haven’t said anything negative or derogatory towards any of you,” Alicia says.
Except Britt clearly remembers the “snide” comments after yesterday’s Open For Inspections.
She doesn’t want to lay it all out there now but Alicia says it’s now or never.
So… it’s now. (Nine)
Sonny admits he was rude yesterday, but Alicia fumes at being lumped in with him.
“Don’t you dare and I will not allow you to throw me under the bus, that I’ve been a nasty b—h because I’ve done nothing but take care of you,” she argues.
Britt’s point is that it’s all about the delivery and sometimes, their delivery is a little harsh.
In the end, they awkwardly hug it out but it’s hardly water under the bridge.
“Today really made us realise ‘are we going to be friends with these people when we leave?’ Our friends wouldn’t do this to us,” Britt reflects.
To add insult to injury for everyone else, they’ve all struck a decking issue before any work has even begun.
The decks they all chose are not rated for bush fires, so they’re all going to lose another day to build the things while that gets sorted out.
Instead, it’s shed day.
Han’s original plan of turning her’s into a working-from-home office space was knocked back, but she’s been brainstorming hard about to create a space that could, with future council approval, be considered ‘habitable’.
This means insulating and plastering the shed, an expensive exercise that Foreman Dan thinks is a total waste of time and money.
Han and Can’s plans are no less controversial in the alfresco area, where their dreams of a flowing stream and a lagoon are killed by Site Manager Simmo.
Can’s taking it well. (Nine)
Next door, Britt’s getting ahead on planning for next week’s huge Backyard Week.
Her idea includes a Cursio-made built-in fireplace.
The problem? The Cursios are House 4’s tilers. And after the events of this week, Sonny and Alicia have yet again banned them from helping them out.
Adrian Cursio wants to do it, but as he so eloquently puts it: “I’m the meat in the sandwich.”
While almost everyone was unanimous in the decision to confront Britt and Taz at the body corporate, Emma consciously objected and went shopping instead.
Now, she’s checking in on Britt.

“I didn’t agree with any of it,” Emma says.
Britt appreciates the support, but admits she’s still feeling pretty teary.
Speaking of tears, Mat wakes up on Wednesday morning with a serious case of homesickness.
He’s just found a letter his mum wrote before he left and sobs as he reads it aloud:
The correct decking strips have finally arrived on site, meaning everyone can finally get going on their alfresco area.
Well, their tradies can – because it’s challenge time.
It’s a classic Bake Off challenge worth $10k and inspired by Arnott’s biscuits, that will be judged tomorrow by some very qualified women: the local Country Women’s Association.
Can-gella Lawson and Leesh jump to it, Emma and Ben ponder the difference between a teaspoon and a tablespoon, Taz licks the bowls and Mat spends an hour trying to work a blender.
That night, it’s revealed that Sonny and Alicia are going to renew their vows tomorrow.
That’s bloody lovely, isn’t it? Plus, it’s also a good reason for some of the group to head to the pub.
First things first, though, they need to kidnap the groom.
Why? We don’t know. But let’s just roll with it.
We’re scared! (Nine)
In true bucks night style, there’s also a costume, a game and a VIP guest:
Nice of Scotty to show up! (Nine)
Robby recalls giving Sonny a lap dance with said guest, but Scotty’s pulled rank and cut that particular scene from the show.
Sad.
This year, we’re not getting just a Block wedding but also a Block baby!
While across town, a cardboard cut out of Scotty is engaging in debauchery, Emma and Ben are off on something a little more wholesome.
They’re off to dinner with their families, where they finally share the news to cheers, hugs and plenty of happy tears:
Tomorrow night, the family reunions continue as everyone’s friends and family arrive – just in time for a vow renewal!
But amongst all the festivities, Can declares the worst day on The Block. Uh oh.
Tune in tomorrow for the fun AND chaos!
