EXCLUSIVE: Each year, The Block‘s goal is to create a reno series that everyone can enjoy.

And according to host Scott Cam, this year they’ve absolutely nailed it.

“It’s great family viewing where mom, dad, and the kids can sit down and watch a show together,” Scotty said in an exclusive video – which you can watch above – ahead of Season 21’s premiere on Sunday

“That’s what we try to achieve every year that we do the Block. Sometimes we get it right, sometimes not so right, but this year, we got it right.”

Season 21 already been dubbed “the happiest Block on earth”, and Australia is just days away from getting to know the five lovable teams making that the case.

“I think the contestants are a really, really great bunch of people this year,” Scotty said.

“We’ve got five awesome teams that are gonna really bring it, in so many ways,” co-host Shelley Craft agreed.

“There’s a lot of fun, there is a lot of laughs, and a lot of reno would you believe? So no matter what you’re into, this Block season has it all,” she continued.

There was another thing the hosts agreed on too: that the “sensational location” of Daylesford is very special.

From hatted restaurants to the famous Hepburn Springs, the country town’s unique charm will be on display throughout the series.
