Eliot and Jamie’s comments on their relationship have varied quite a lot – one minute Eliot is pretending to propose to Jamie, the next he’s insisting they’re “mature adults” and “just friends”. Jamie wrote on her Instagram on 21st May: “Eliot and I are really good friends. He’s been such a great support system, always makes me laugh and I’m super grateful to have him around . We are both single and focusing on ourselves at the moment – but who knows what the future holds.”

Beth told The Tab: “I saw them on the weekend. They’re not together. They’re both saying they’re still single. They’re just dating each other at the moment. I don’t know which way it’s going to go. But I think they’re both just trying to get to know each other and just see how it pans out. They don’t have a label for it yet.
“When you’re with them, there’s no PDA because everyone wants to see that. So they don’t do it in public. It’s quite a friendly vibe when you hang out with them because they obviously want to hide that from the public.”

Despite the drama at the couples’ retreat in Byron Bay, Carina and Jamie seem to be friends now. She has an inside look at what’s going on between Jamie and Eliot. Carina told Nine: “I think Jamie is in her love bubble at the moment with her and Eliot.
“I think it’s still early stages for them but they’re definitely in their little happy bubble and enjoying each other’s time together and really just getting to know one another. She’s just super happy and her old self again. There’s a spark in her, and they get along really well. I’m happy for them, she’s deserving of it and he’s deserving of it. If that’s what makes them happy, then so it should be.”

Teejay did not expect that Eliot and Jamie would get so close. He told 9Entertainment: “Yeah, it was definitely a surprise. Jamie and Eliot aren’t the two I would’ve picked together, realistically, post-show. But I think they’re just having fun, hanging out. Whatever works, works, we can’t get in the way of happiness can we?”

An anonymous MAFS Australia 2025 cast member told Woman’s Day that Eliot and Jamie were in full couple mode and spending as much time together as they could. The MAFS participant said: “This isn’t just a fling. They’re very much in it for real. Jamie was supposed to stay in separate accommodation on the Gold Coast this week, but she cancelled her plans to spend the week with Eliot instead.
“They’ve gone from mates to full couple mode. It’s been a bit of a whirlwind, but it feels natural for them.”
