A Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) insider has leaked a selfie of Farmer Thomas and Claire “grinning from ear to ear”, claiming that this photo is what set Clarette off in that explosive episode.
Hold ya horses! This article contains Farmer Wants A Wife spoilers. Mosey on with caution.

It appears that this year’s season of FWAW is reheating Married At First Sight‘s (MAFS) nachos with the amount of off and on-screen drama it’s been producing.
Recently, fans have been left clutching their Akubras after Farmer Thomas seemingly ditched the competition following a blow-out argument with front-runner Clarette.
To refresh your memory, shit went down on Thomas’ farm after he confessed to Clarette and Rachael that he’d recieved texts from Claire — another one of Thomas’ suitors who left earlier in the season.
In a confessional, Clarette claimed the messages contained phrases like “I miss you”. When Thomas finally had a conversation with Rachael and Clarette — on camera, of course — he claimed that the last time he texted Claire was during the Harvest Festival, when he sent a picture to her. He also said that Claire was “dead” to him before showing the girls his phone.

Although he tried to de-escalate the drama, things reached a boiling point between him and Clarette, which resulted in him speeding away from the farm.
While we’re not too sure what was on Thomas’ phone — even though we do see him scroll through it — an insider claimed Clarette was set off by a selfie of the farmer and Claire.
What did Clarette see on Farmer Thomas’ phone?
Speaking to New Idea, an insider confirmed that Farmer Thomas let Clarette get through his phone. However, it was a selfie of Thomas with the runaway suitor that “rattled” her. You can peep the picture right here.
“She didn’t go through every message,” the source said.
“But what caught her eye was a photo of Farmer Thomas and Claire at the airport, grinning from ear to ear.
“They looked really happy together. And that was hard for Clarette to see. Especially as she’d been trying so hard to build something real with him.”

According to the publication, the picture was taken from a secret rendezvous they had when Claire officially left the farm.
“It threw everything into doubt for her,” the insider continued.
“She couldn’t stop wondering whether Farmer Thomas had truly moved on… or if he was still hung up on Claire.”
“It really shook her confidence. She kept thinking, ‘Will he ever look that happy with me?’”

This just gives me flashbacks to all the times I’ve done some digging on a new crush… only to be CRUSHED with the info I find.
But — playing devil’s advocate here — what did Clarette expect by jumping on a dating show? Of course, the bloke is going to build connections with other women. It’s unfortunately a part of the game.
Ultimately, I truly do feel bad for Clarette because I’ve definitely been in that position before — minus signing up for a dating show. Seeing that kind of smooshy stuff on a potential lover’s phone must be soul-crushing, especially as a lover girl.
That being said, Claire has since spoken up about the explosive episode and claimed that the texts between her and Farmer Thomas were strictly “platonic”.
“I actually just messaged him to check in on him and see how filming was going. I knew he was worried about filming during harvest, so I wished him all the best,” the former FWAW 2025 contestant told Chattr, before confirming to the publication that Farmer Thomas never replied.
Aiyiyi. This has been one wild rodeo, and we’re only halfway through.
