Farmer Wants A Wife’s Farmer Jarrad surprised fans in Monday night’s episode when he made an unexpected return to the reality show. The 21-year-old Queensland sheep farmer, who left the series in week three after finding love with Chloe, was the surprise performer at the Country Ball.

Jarrad came on stage with Chloe after being introduced by country singer Max Jackson and performed one of his original songs for his fellow contestants. While some viewers were thrilled to see him return and praised his singing abilities, others described the performance as “cringy” and questioned his intentions for going on Farmer Wants A Wife.

“That’s the only reason he went on the show, exposure,” one person wrote, while another added, “Definitely on the show to try to further his career”.

“Got his 5 minutes of fame,” a third remarked, followed by someone else who said, “Exposure so he can get work as well as a country singer. Nice voice”.

“He was only ever on it to further his singing career,” a different user replied, with another commenting, “Have heard better singers, he’s not all that, just saying”.

Not every comment was negative, however, with some fans admitting they enjoyed hearing him sing.

“Was good to see,” one viewer shared, while someone else said, “Was hoping for more songs from him so Australia could hear more”.

“I like him, and that he didn’t mess other girls around. When he knew he chose and left,” another wrote.

Although they appeared loved up in Monday night’s episode, multiple sources tell Yahoo Lifestyle that Farmer Jarrad and Chloe are unfortunately no longer together.

“I heard they were together for about a month after filming, but not anymore,” an anonymous participant shares. “He performed at Launceston Rodeo in February and was very popular amongst the ladies.”

Meanwhile, one woman recently claimed that she met Jarrad at a country music gig in Tamworth earlier this year and “he didn’t act like someone in a relationship”.

“He was chatting up women left and right,” she told Daily Mail Australia. “He even joked about being ‘done with dating shows’. Honestly, it seemed like he was single or just didn’t care who saw.”
