Married At First Sight star Evelyn Ellis’ latest Instagram post has caused quite the stir online.

Wearing a white crotchet dress and posing with long time partner Duncan James, the 29-year-old captioned the series of loved-up photos: “Stuck with me forever.”

Putting all the pieces of the puzzle together, Evelyn’s 448,000 Instagram photos thought it was an engagement announcement.

“I thought this was going to be an engagement announcdment haha hurry up you two hotties,” one follower wrote.

Another said, “Not me zooming on every photo looking for a ring 😂.”

While MAFS bride Eden Harper’s comment amassed hundreds of likes: “The caption made me think it was an engagement post 🥲.”

While Evelyn, 29, and Duncan, 39, weren’t announcing their engagement, Evelyn did take to TikTok to share that the couple are taking a very important step forward in their relationship.

For the first time in the more than two years they’ve been together, their parents were meeting!

Speaking to the camera Evelyn admitted: “I’ve been kind of putting it off. I feel like I can do so many things that would be scary to people in real life but this just terrifies me.

“I literally don’t know why this makes me so nervous.”

Evelyn also revealed that Duncan is the only boyfriend she’s ever introduced to her parents before.

The reality star later updated her followers saying the parents’ meeting “went well”.

“It was fine but I was dying internally,” Evelyn replied to one fan.

Evelyn and Duncan’s relationship timeline

Duncan joined Season 10 of MAFS as an OG groom, there he was married to Alyssa Barmonde while Evelyn joined the season as a latecomer and wed Rupert Budgen on screens.

Both Evelyn and Rupert and Duncan and Alyssa made it to the Final Vows but both relationships came to an end.

By the end of the experiment Evelyn and Duncan were still single, but their romance didn’t start till much later.

The pair began hanging out as some of the few cast members who lived in Sydney and then “one thing led to another”.

They shared their first kiss as the 2023 Mardi Gras and Evelyn and Duncan began officially dating in February 2023.

By August 2023, Evelyn and Duncan made the huge move to live together and find a place to call their own.

So they said goodbye to city life and packed up their apartments to move into a place with much more space and a garden for Evelyn’s two dachshunds, Pickles and Mustard.
