Farmer Wants A Wife fans have made their thoughts to Channel 7 very clear as the network continues their search for next year’s farmers. Taking to the Farmer Wants A Wife social pages on Thursday night, Channel 7 shared that they are still on the lookout for single farmers, encouraging men to apply for the show, or for people to “dob in a great farmer”.

When you do sign up for the show, you are taken to a page that says, “The stats don’t lie – this show works! As a result of going on Farmer Wants a Wife Australia, 11 farmers have found a wife, 9 more have found long-term love, and 27 babies have been born.

“If you’re a single farmer in Australia or New Zealand who’d like to find love – APPLY NOW! It’s your turn.”

Ladies who are “single and ready to start the adventure of a lifetime with a farmer” can also complete a form to sign up.

Fans were quick to comment on the posts, sharing their hopes for next year’s season, with one person referencing the fact that many of the farmers in the last couple of years have been very young, writing, “Can they be mid to late 30s MEN who can hold a conversation please.”

Another also poked fun at the younger farmers, adding, “Wanted: Grown men who look and act like 12 year olds, working on their parents farm, great mates (also single), at least 100kms from anywhere else, looking for a wife/nurse/teacher who enjoys isolation and has is ready to pop out children at a moments notice…”

“How about some older ones?” a third asked.

“No farmers under 30,” someone else said.

One woman also asked, “I’m a farmer, can I be one of the farmers? Definitely need a husband to help me on my farm…one that can train and ride horses would be great!”

“Female farmers are looking for love too,” another said.

“Female farmers would be good as not all farmers are male,” someone else agreed. “Also, some older farmers 40-50 are looking for love but not necessarily to have children.”

“A better mix of ages and a female farmer, please!” yet another begged. “Yes, I know there was one a couple of years ago that didn’t work out but it doesn’t work out with many of the male farmers either.”

“After this year’s mess, who would want to,” one person wrote, referencing the highly dramatic season.

“All budding county and western singers…here’s your chance!” another said, referencing Farmer Jarrad from this year’s season.

“Please, never again,” one person simply wrote, with plenty of others begging the producers to go back to the original format, which featured less drama.

“Worst season ever. Needs a good overhaul,” another said.

It would seem as though Farmer Wants A Wife is open to having female farmers for next year’s season as the application states both men and women can apply.

The show has only featured a handful of female farmers in the past: Jenny Blake from season 3, Becky Casanova from season 5, Melia Brent-White from season 6, and Paige Marsh from season 12.

Applicants must be 21 years of age or older to apply, and are required to disclose whether they have any current or prior criminal charges. They also have to be available to film from early October 2025 to mid-December 2025, with the reunion taking place over three days in January 2026.
