Following weeks of speculation, it’s finally been confirmed that Farmer Wants A Wife’s Farmer Thomas ends up with Clarette. The 35-year-old South Australian wheat farmer chose to take her on the final 24-hour date in Tuesday night’s episode, and ended up introducing her to his uncle after deciding she was the one for him.

A preview for next week’s episode shows Thomas struggling to end things with his other two contestants, Rachael and Laura, before professing his love for Clarette. The couple are shown standing hand in hand in a romantic location on the farm with the sun setting behind them.

“Clarette, you’ve sacrificed so much following your dream, coming to Australia. But, I’ve got to be honest,” he says in the dramatic teaser.

Are Thomas and Clarette still together?

While viewers finally know who Thomas chooses, many have wondered whether he and Clarette have stayed together since filming the show late last year.

One anonymous participant tells Yahoo Lifestyle that despite the backlash they have been receiving over the past few weeks, Thomas and Clarette are indeed still going strong.

“Yes, they’re still together,” they share. “She is working at a school about an hour from his farm, so they have given her a house to live in. So they’re not technically living together.”

This comes shortly after Chattr published a screenshot of a school newsletter that had been sent in January announcing that Clarette had started working there.

“I would like to welcome Clarette into our Secondary Teaching cohort for 2025,” the announcement read. “Clarette (Miss G) joins us from New South Wales and originally from England. She is a specialist English teacher and we look forward to the expertise she will bring to our classes.”

Claire reveals what Clarette was like during filming

Clarette has emerged as one of the most divisive contestants this season, with viewers accusing her of being “too jealous” about Farmer Thomas’ connections with the other women.

The 35-year-old teacher is yet to speak out about her experience on the reality show and hasn’t done media interviews or shared any posts on Instagram since the season premiered. While viewers have questioned whether Clarette’s on-screen persona comes down to clever editing or her actual personality, her co-star Claire recently told Yahoo Lifestyle it’s a bit of both.

“She’s getting the villain edit, for sure. I mean, she definitely knew what she wanted and knew what she was doing, but yeah, there’s definitely some mayo on it, for sure, and I feel for her,” she shared. “I don’t think anyone’s deserving of a villain edit, because if it was me, I’d literally be rocking in a corner.”

Former contestant Daisy Lamb, who found love with Farmer Todd Melbourne last season, also took to social media last month to share her thoughts on Clarette’s controversial portrayal.

“Villain edit 100%. She is lovely according to other ladies on that farm. Y’all need to calm down,” she wrote.
