EXCLUSIVE: This year The Block Open For Inspections have been remarkably tame with the teams awarding their rivals gold stars most weeks – that’s finally changed.
While Robby and Mat were pretty chuffed with their equal first prize, their competitors didn’t think they deserved it with Ben even saying he “hated” the boys’ main feature.
Britt and Taz, who tied with Robby and Mat, weren’t convinced that House 5’s kitchen was “on their level”.
They were adamant they should’ve won outright.
“We were ripped off,” Britt murmured under her breath.

Emma and Ben were also “underwhelmed” by Robby and Mat’s first-place kitchen and felt it didn’t exactly “scream winner”.
“I didn’t get a wow factor at all,” Emma told cameras.
And everybody had something to say about Robby and Mat’s secret bookcase that was in fact the entry door to the main bedroom and ensuite.
“I hated the bookcase into the master bedroom. That would kill me, it would drive me crazy,” Ben blurted out.
He quickly recanted the statement noting his feedback was “a bit harsh”.
“I would hate to use that bookcase every day,” he corrected himself.
Han and Can felt if the bookcase and the rainbow rolling pin were the only features that were standing out to them then that meant House 5’s kitchen was pretty “vanilla”.

While Robby and Mat copped most of the heat, they weren’t the only house whose kitchen was criticised.
All the teams agreed that Emma and Ben’s fridge placement was a massive problem with Taz, Robby and Sonny all re-enacting potential scenarios that could see the occupants running into the fridge door.
Safe to say all their scenes played out very differently.
