As for the defenseman, this is a big deal because it shows he’s genuinely interested in signing with the Canadiens one day!

Rohrer, 20, is a forward drafted 75th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 2022 (third round) and recorded 25 points in 52 games this season in Switzerland’s top league.

He also had an incredible World Championship performance for Austria.

Konyushkov, 22, is a right-handed defenseman drafted 110th overall by the Canadiens in 2023 (fourth round), and he has tallied 45 points over the past two seasons in the KHL.
