Similar to MasterChef, The Voice, and Australian Idol, Farmer Wants A Wife has the power to completely change the lives of the ‘winners’. Not only are the ladies entering into a relationship with someone who will likely become their future husband and father of their children, but they’re also relocating to an often remote part of Australia to live on their farm.
While Farmer Jarrad and Chloe’s relationship fizzled out shortly after leaving the show, the four other couples who found love this season have gone from strength to strength since filming the reunion late last year. Farmer Corey and Keeley recently announced that after months of long-distance dating, she had finally moved to his farm in Biloela, Queensland.
Keeley tells Yahoo Lifestyle that she relocated three weeks before the series finished airing on TV and hasn’t looked back since.
“I love it. I’m still working out of town at the moment, so I’m not on the farm full time just yet, but I will be in the foreseeable future, like the next few weeks,” she details.
“But every weekend, I get to go on crop tours with Corey. We check all the rain gauges, and I just love being in the tractor with him. It’s awesome. And the community, I can’t believe how beautiful everyone is and how many friends I’ve made so quickly. I just couldn’t have expected anything better.”

Is Keeley still working as an optometrist?
One of the biggest issues of contention during Keeley and Corey’s time on the show was whether she would be able to continue her career as an optometrist in Biloela after four years of study.
The 22-year-old reveals that, thankfully, there was an “amazing” local opportunity when she moved, and she is currently working full-time as an optometrist.
“I was working in a farming community and regional community prior to this, and it’s where I’m really happy in my career, and it just gives me a lot of freedom. It’s the stuff that I enjoy, so it’s actually worked out really well for me,” she remarks.
Corey adds that he’s “over the moon” to finally be living with Keeley after travelling back and forth to see her in Merimbula earlier in the year.
“It’s been great. You come home, and Keeley’s here, and it’s unreal. It feels good to finally start the next exciting chapter of our lives together,” he says.

Clarette’s move to South Australia
Unlike Keeley, Clarette made the move to Farmer Thomas’ farm in Kimba, South Australia, within a month of filming the reunion episode. The couple tell Yahoo Lifestyle they spent Christmas together in Kimba, celebrated New Year’s in Sydney, and then she officially relocated in January.
“Being a teacher, I found a job very, very easily, which was amazing because it was pretty late in the year to be able to find a job,” she details. “The SA government helped with my relocation costs, my flights over, so everything was pretty much done. It was a really, really smooth transition.”
The 35-year-old says she currently lives in a house close to the school, and she and Thomas split their time between his farm and the property in town which is “really convenient”.
“He plays sport near where I live, so he’ll stay with me during some days in the week, and then we’ll spend most weekends at the farm. So we live together, but half in town and then half on the farm,” she explains. “I joined a netball team, pilates studio, gym, pool. I’ve thrown myself into everything to try and jump in and get to know everyone in the community, and everyone has been so welcoming.”

Overcoming her ‘villain’ edit
Clarette shares that she’s especially glad she made the move before the show began airing on TV so the community wasn’t influenced by her ‘villain edit’.
“Moving now into a small community after everyone’s watched it, they’d have this perception of who I am as a person. And because they’ve known me for six months now, they’re watching it, thinking, ‘What is this? This is not you’. I’m just so happy that they’ve had a chance to get to know the real me,” she details.
“And obviously teaching teenagers every day, they’re brutally honest and they can see straight through it as well. And to have their support has been honestly amazing and incredible. I couldn’t have done it, really, without everyone in the community, so I’m very grateful.”
