Gogglebox star Anastasia Katselas has opened up about her dramatic weight loss, only days after returning home after undergoing emergency surgery.

The 61-year-old fan favourite revealed a frightening cancer diagnosis in a video she shared to Instagram on Friday following an emergency hysterectomy.

In a new interview, Anastasia talked about her ‘big scare’ while revealing she has shed a whopping 35kg after weighing 115kg.

‘When I was at my heaviest, I couldn’t wear heels, because my knee was sore and I couldn’t balance.

‘I thought I would fall over. But now, not a problem! My knee doesn’t hurt anymore, nothing hurts, I’m as happy as Larry,’ she told Woman’s Day on Monday.

Posing for a photoshoot for the magazine, Anastasia looked radiant in a flattering red outfit. She also modelled a stylish blue knit dress.

Now weighing 80kg, the mother-of-two says she hopes to lose ‘another 10’.

‘The biggest benefit is that I’m healthy, I don’t feel as lethargic. I don’t have aches or pains anymore. I actually feel like a woman again!’

Anastasia also discussed details of her diet, cutting out soft drinks and in-between-meal snacks like chips.

To shed the kilograms, she also committed to an exercise regimen of regular walks.

Elsewhere in the interview, Anastasia gave a health update after doctors discovered cancer in her uterus just over a week ago.

‘It was a big scare, and thank god they caught it early and I’m fine,’ she said, adding that she was recovering after spending two days in hospital.

She also confirmed that the doctors have told her that the cancer was caught early and hadn’t spread, though she’s awaiting post-surgery test results.

Anastasia revealed the harrowing news of her health emergency on Friday and had some advice for her followers.

‘I urge all you women, make sure that you do your pap smears regularly, don’t wait, don’t forget about it.

‘I used to do them regularly, and I can’t remember the last time I went.’

‘I happened to go to the doctor, because I had a concern, and they did a pap smear and lo and behold, a week later I am in hospital,’ she added.

She assured fans she is ‘just a bit sore, recovering well’, before thanking Cabrini Health, Dr Tom Manolitsis, and All Medical in Wantirna for looking after her.

‘Recovering after surgery. I’m. Fine. Very lucky,’ she wrote in the caption of the video.

‘@cabrinihealth @drtommanolitsis @allmedicalwantirna thank you for looking after me so promptly. God saved me again. Thank you God.’

Followers flocked to the comments with their well-wishes.

Anastasia shot to fame on the inaugural season of Gogglebox in 2015 with her friend Faye Kontos.

The pair are set to return for season 22, debuting on Channel 10 and 10Play this Thursday.
