We have an important last-minute announcement from the Montreal Canadiens to report.

The organization has just unveiled the list of players invited and present for rookie camp, which will kick off in exactly 48 hours, and indeed we find three new players.

Among the names revealed by the Tricolore, we find Ivan Demidov, Jacob Fowler, and David Reinbacher, which is great, but we also find a few new names.

Here is an excerpt from the official Habs press release.

“BROSSARD – The Montreal Canadiens Hockey Club announced Monday the participation of 26 players in its rookie camp, which will take place at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard and at the Bell Centre in Montreal, from September 10 to 16.

The Canadiens prospects will take part in two games at the Bell Centre against the Winnipeg Jets prospects and the Toronto Maple Leafs prospects on September 13 and 14, respectively, as part of the Rookie Faceoff.”

So it is 26 players who will participate in the Tricolore’s 2025 rookie camp (15 forwards, eight defensemen, and three goalies).

“Of this number, 18 players were drafted by the Canadiens, including five who were selected during the 2025 NHL Draft.

Three players were also invited through a professional tryout.”
