Following a hugely successful season last year, which achieved the show’s highest ratings in over five years, My Kitchen Rules is gearing up for its much-anticipated return. Channel 7 has recently begun sharing a series of exciting teaser videos, giving fans their first look at season 15 and who will be competing.
The new contestants will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of 2024’s Simone and Viviana, who achieved the highest score in MKR history at their second Instant Restaurant and ultimately won the competition. Ahead of the upcoming season, which is set to premiere on Monday, 1 September, here are all of the teams that have been announced so far.
Justin and Will

This year’s season will feature two somewhat familiar faces, with NRL star Will Mataka and foodie Instagrammer Justin Rolleston teaming up in the kitchen. Will, who played for the Wests Tigers and Sydney Roosters between 2009 and 2011, says in a teaser video that he and Justin are determined to become the 2025 champions.
“We want to make it all the way to the finals and win this competition,” he declares.
The footy dads from NSW will be the first team to cook this season, drawing inspiration from Will’s Tongan heritage and Justin’s South African roots.
Anne and Maree

A recent trailer features Victorian mother and daughter Anne and Maree, also known as the Gourmet Greeks. The best friends are entering the competition with a “secret weapon” as they will be cooking from a cherished handwritten cookbook passed down from Anne’s beloved late mother.
“Mum is my heart. She wrote all her recipes in this beautiful little cookbook,” says Anne, who has waited 10 years to appear on MKR. “It’s ancient. It’s got her little finger marks.”
The teaser shows Colin Fassnidge tasting the pair’s dish and describing it as “banging”, adding: “This is seasoned with love. I thought I was in Greece!”
Maria and Bailey

Maria and Bailey, who have been described as “MKR’s most ambitious duo yet”, are determined to win the competition after dominating the business world. The self-proclaimed high achievers from South Australia are shown in a recent trailer criticising their competitors’ food for being “boring”.
“Can you do better than this?” Manu Feildel asks them, to which Maria replies, “Of course I can”.
Despite their competitive nature, a teaser for their Instant Restaurant hints at a major blunder, with Bailey saying, “We are screwed. This is worse than a disaster”.
Michael and Rielli

Another couple competing this season is Michael, a self-proclaimed ‘meat master’, and Rielli, a baking queen with a flair for pastries. The Queensland-based duo are tipped to send shockwaves through the competition with a dish Colin predicts will “divide the table and divide the nation”.
“Time for these guests to see what the meat master is all about,” Michael says before introducing the dish, with fellow guests shown looking shocked and describing it as “yuck”.
While Michael proudly declares that meat is his “passion”, and he eats it for “breakfast, lunch and dinner”, he’s set to go head-to-head with fellow contestant Jacinta.
“I don’t eat meat,” she declares. “I am a nutritionist. I’m all about just eating real food.”
Lol and Lil

The first team introduced to viewers ahead of the new season are best friends Lol and Lil from Logan, Queensland, who have known each other their whole lives. The competition marks the first time Lol has left her home state, let alone flown on a plane.
“It is huge that Lil and I are here on MKR,” Lol remarks, while Lil says, “We’re from Logan, we’re fighters, and we’re gonna keep pushing on”.
The trailer also teases that the pair will have a rivalry with the ‘meat master’ Michael, who calls them the “Logan bogans”.
“I can’t wait for him to see us cook, and really eat his words,” Lil shares, with Lol adding, “And maybe choke on them a little bit”.
MKR host addresses major rumour
There was plenty of speculation late last year over whether Manu and Colin would be involved in the next season, with fellow celebrity chefs Curtis Stone and Gordon Ramsay tipped to join the series “to stir the pot”.
Colin confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle in November that not only will he and Manu be returning to MKR in 2025, but he also loved the idea of Curtis and Gordon sitting on the judging panel.
“Curtis is a good friend of mine, so I’d love to work with Curtis again because we’ve done it before,” he said, referencing the chef’s previous four seasons as a guest judge. “And then Gordon, I actually worked for Gordon and Gordon’s a champion in the industry. I’d be proud to be on the show with Gordon.”
Colin went on to say that although certain people like to “stir up trouble”, most TV personalities in the food industry are friends.
“Also, if Gordon Ramsay was on the show, the ratings would go through the roof, which means I’ll get hired again for next year,” he laughed. “We’ve all got bills to pay, school fees, so whatever makes it better.”
