Nicole Kidman has officially called time on her marriage to Keith Urban, with friends claiming the country singer may have already stepped out with another woman.

Nicole Kidman has filed for divorce from Keith Urban after 19 years of marriage.

Court documents lodged in Nashville on Wednesday (AEST) confirm the Academy Award winner has petitioned to end the marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences”.

The move comes just one day after news broke that the Australian superstar couple had been living apart since June, as first reported by TMZ.

Sources close to Kidman, 58, told TMZ the actress is “broken-hearted” by the split, with speculation mounting in Nashville that Urban, 57, has already moved on with another woman.

“All the signs point to the fact Keith is with another woman,” one insider said.

“It’s all over Nashville… Let’s just say, Nicole doesn’t dispute that, but she’s still shocked over it.”

The timing of Urban’s new relationship is unclear, with sources suggesting that if Urban is dating someone new, it may have started after the couple’s separation.

Friends of the pair pointed to their demanding schedules- Kidman’s filming projects and Urban’s tour commitments- as fuelling a “lack of intimacy” that eventually drove them apart.

“Keith never sees Nicole, either she is filming or he is on tour,” a source told the Daily Mail.

“There was a lot of love between the two … They’ve been together for decades so there is a world where they can reconcile, but the way their pairing is now, they are not a couple.”

It has also been claimed that Urban initiated the break-up, confronting Kidman about his “unhappiness” before the split became public.

Weeks earlier, Kidman had applied for residency in Portugal alongside the couple’s teenage daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.

Urban is said to have moved out of the family home and purchased another property nearby.

Divorce filings obtained by TMZ reveal Kidman is seeking to be the “primary residential parent” of the children.

The parenting plan allows them to spend 306 days with Kidman and 59 days with Urban each year, with major decisions on health and education to be made jointly.

The agreement was notarised separately- Urban signed on August 29, 2025, and Kidman on September 6, 2025.

Kidman and Urban first met at the G’DAY USA gala in January 2005 before marrying in Sydney the following year.

The actress was previously married to Tom Cruise from 1990 until 2001, with whom she shares two children, Bella, 32, and Connor, 30.
