As the anticipation builds for the Montreal Canadiens’ upcoming season, one of the hottest topics swirling around the team is the mystery of Ivan Demidov’s future linemate.

With expectations sky-high for the young star forward, fans and analysts alike are eager to see who will be entrusted to skate alongside him and help unlock his full potential.

Behind the scenes, the Canadiens’ management has been quietly searching for the perfect centerman to complement Demidov’s dynamic skill set, but the answer remains tantalizingly out of reach.

Recent developments in Brossard have only added fuel to the speculation, as Demidov has been spotted training with a familiar face—one whose name has already sparked plenty of excitement and debate.

The chemistry between these two players is undeniable, and their on-ice partnership during intense drills has produced moments that hint at something special brewing for the new season.

Yet, with several talented candidates in the mix and no official announcement, the question of who will claim this coveted spot remains wide open.

Could this emerging duo be the key to transforming Montreal’s offense? Or will another contender step up when the pressure is on? The answers—and the full story—are just ahead.

With the Montreal Canadiens’ season quickly approaching, we still don’t know who will play on a line with Ivan Demidov.

Since the end of last season, the Montreal Canadiens management has been looking for a centerman to play with Ivan Demidov. And now the star forward has given us a clue during training.

Several players can be used for this role, but we don’t know who will take it.

Zachary Bolduc, Joe Veleno, and Kirby Dach can all play center, but we’ll get more details at the next Canadiens training camp.

However, Ivan Demidov’s linemate appears to be taking shape during training.

A Patrik Laine/Ivan Demidov Duo for Next Season?

Earlier today, Ivan Demidov once again trained with Patrik Laine.

The two players have trained together multiple times since the end of the season.

They are often seen on the ice together and have worked on several elements side by side.

The 3-on-3 drill in tight space produced some beautiful plays, like in this sequence highlighting Patrik Laine and Ivan Demidov.

Patrik Laine will most likely be used on the second line, and there’s a good chance he’ll play with Demidov.

If Laine takes it up a notch this season, he’ll be a major force for the Canadiens.

Finally, the season is fast approaching, and we’re eagerly awaiting the start.
