Big moves are happening in Montreal, and the excitement is palpable. Just over a week after the Canadiens pulled off a major trade to bring Quebec native Zachary Bolduc into the fold, the buzz around the organization continues to grow. With Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton at the helm, the team has made it clear they’re not afraid to take bold steps to shape the future of the franchise.

The recent comments from Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations Jeff Gorton have only fueled the anticipation, as he spoke enthusiastically about Bolduc’s potential and hinted that more significant moves could be on the horizon. Fans are eager to see how the addition of Bolduc—a young, physical forward with plenty of upside—will impact the team’s direction.

As the Canadiens look to build a roster that can compete at the highest level, the energy around these new acquisitions and the possibility of further trades is electrifying. The coming months promise to be full of intrigue and opportunity for Montreal, and supporters can’t wait to see what’s next.

Just over a week ago, the Montreal Canadiens announced the acquisition of Quebec-born forward Zachary Bolduc.

Through a trade with the St. Louis Blues, in exchange for young defenseman Logan Mailloux, Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton managed to acquire a solid young winger.

On that topic, just a few minutes ago, the Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations for the Montreal Canadiens made some very interesting statements.

During the interview, Gorton also made the following statement:

More trades are expected, but one thing is certain-the two most significant deals made by the Canadiens in this 2025 offseason seem to greatly please Gorton!

He sees Zachary Bolduc as a promising future physical power forward.
