Channel Seven’s new reality TV squeeze Stranded On Honeymoon Island has finally premiered. However, in true chaotic style, a contestant’s social media posts have spoiled his entire storyline.

With Farmer Wants A Wife officially up hanging it’s Akubra for this year, Channel Seven has decided to bring in another hot, spicy, steamy dating show on the roster to spice up Aussie winter: Stranded On Honeymoon Island.
However, with the show’s premiere, it appears that one of the groom’s have moved on from their reality TV match.
Taking a scroll on Tom‘s social media — who was matched with Emily on the reality TV shebang — you can see that he’s gotten married and started a family with Olympian Morgan Mitchell, completely spoiling his ending on the show.

So, you’re probably thinking why this could happen? Well to give you the TL;DR, Stranded On Honeymoon Island was actually filmed yonks ago — 2023 to be exact. However, its premiere date was delayed to 2025.
Speaking to PEDESTRIAN.TV in 2024, an inside source claimed the network “buried” the reality TV series because it was… bad.
“Insert the sound of a coconut falling from a tree and landing on a person’s head, that is how good the finished version of the show was,” the industry insider dished.
“No wonder the network has buried it,” they claimed.
Another source added that the couples on the show were “badly matched” and claimed that all the couples “ended up all leaving the island single”.

“I guess you could hardly pretend you are still married for 14 months just for the magic of TV… viewers aren’t stupid. Why do networks keep treating us like we are!”
At the time, a spokesperson for Channel Seven denied the claims, telling PTV that it’s “not the case at all”.

If you think Morgan looks familiar, you might recognise her from amazing online content, her career as an olympian and her appearance on 2025’s Australian Survivor: Brains V Brawn. And for you nosey reality TV folks, she ultimately placed sixth in the game.

While I’m extremely happy for Tom’s fairytale ending, I truly hope Emily find the love she was looking for on Stranded On Honeymoon Island.
