As the Montreal Canadiens battle through a crucial stretch of the NHL season, a cloud of uncertainty has suddenly descended over their defensive core—and it all centers on Kaiden Guhle. Just hours after a gritty matchup against the Nashville Predators, whispers began circulating about a potential setback for the 6-foot-3 blueliner. But what really happened last night, and how serious could it be?

A new, last-minute development has surfaced, thanks to a sharp-eyed local reporter and some unexpected eyewitness accounts. The scene: a bustling restaurant in Griffintown, where Guhle was spotted by supporters. What they saw—and what they didn’t—has sparked a wave of concern and speculation across Montreal. There was a limp, visible to anyone paying attention, yet no brace, no boot, and no crutches. Is this a sign of hope, or a reason to worry?

While fans anxiously await an official update from head coach Martin St-Louis, conflicting reports have only deepened the mystery. Is Guhle’s injury minor, or could it sideline him when the Canadiens need him most? With rumors swirling and the stakes rising, the full story is still unfolding. Stay tuned—the next few hours could change everything.

We have a new last-minute development concerning the worrying injury suffered by 6-foot-3 defenseman Kaiden Guhle last night.

We’re obviously waiting for an official confirmation from Martin St-Louis, but the excellent Maxime Truman just published an interesting little scoop regarding Guhle – and it’s not necessarily great news…

“Supporters ran into Kaiden Guhle this noon at a restaurant in Griffintown.

He was limping, it was noticeable to the naked eye.

However, he was not wearing a brace or orthopedic boot, and he was moving without crutches.

We should get an official update from the CH tomorrow.”

We’ll definitely keep you updated on all of this by tomorrow. It’s far from catastrophic as an update, but it’s not ideal either.

Kaiden Guhle is currently limping

Let’s remember that the defenseman did not finish last night’s game against the Nashville Predators and was clearly in serious pain on the Canadiens’ bench.

Let’s really hope it’s nothing too serious.

If Kaiden Guhle does end up missing time, Arber Xhekaj would apparently be the one to rejoin Martin St-Louis’ lineup.

Still on the subject of Guhle’s injury, let’s recall that Renaud Lavoie was reassuring this morning (which doesn’t quite line up with this new report that Guhle is currently limping), but it’s still worth noting:

A story to follow over the next few hours.
