Cooper appeared in the eighth season of Married at First Sight Australia in 2021 as the series’ first-ever out bisexual groom.

The prison case manager was originally paired with Georgia Fairweather and opened up about his bisexual identity on the series. Fairweather reassured her then-husband at the time, “As long as you’re the one for me.”

However, the pair ended up calling it quits after the final dinner party, and later that year, he started dating Married at First Sight NZ star Levi.

The New Zealand-based star appeared on the 2019 series of the show and was partnered with Tayler Morgan, but the pair split ways shortly after exiting the experiment.

Both Cooper and Levi have found “the one” in each other, having announced their engagement on Saturday (23 August). “A day I’ll never forget,” Cooper wrote on Instagram. “I asked my best friend, my soulmate, my forever, to marry me @_samuellevi.”

Levi wrote his own post detailing their dreamy engagement, which took place at Hepburn Bathhouse & Spa, Daylesford, Victoria. “Still pinching myself. On 20.08.25, my best friend asked me to be his forever.

“We’ve loved keeping our love offline for some time now, but this is too special not to share. A real wedding to come for both of us,” he continued.

“To top it off, some of my nearest and dearest (who knew before I did!) pulled off the most beautiful little surprise celebration afterwards to end the weekend on the highest of highs.”

Levi credited the reality series for bringing them both together in a separate post.

“Our story continues… but here’s where it all began, 4 years ago. Who would have thought a show like Married At First Sight would have brought us and this love story together?”
