Perth businessman Aidan Ciaran Murphy has sued Lauren Dunn for defamation, accusing the Married At First Sight star of sharing false and malicious comments about him on social media.
The summons was filed by Murphy — the managing director of Unite Resourcing — to the WA Supreme Court earlier this month, and accuses Dunn, who appeared on season 11 of MAFS last year, of defaming him and the human resources business he works for.

While the summons did not specify which posts Murphy is referring to, The Age reports they were shared by Dunn across Instagram, Facebook and TikTok over the course of a week from July 14 to July 21.

The summons refers to Dunn’s posts — which have since been scrubbed from her profiles — as “false” and shared out of “malice”, with Murphy’s lawyer, Roger Blow, requesting the court order the reality star to refrain from sharing similar content about Murphy moving forward.
The summons also claims Dunn is liable for additional defamatory comments made by those who responded to her posts on social media.
Murphy has not specified the amount of money he is seeking in damages.

Former AFL Player Ryan Crowley Charged With Assaulting Ex-Girlfriend & MAFS Star Lauren Dunn
While Dunn is required to respond within 10 days, she told The Age that she has not yet received the summons.
Dunn — who was paired with Jonathan McCullough during her season of MAFS — told the publication that her social media posts about Murphy were in response to negative comments he allegedly made about her ex-boyfriend, AFL player Ryan Crowley.
Crowley was recently charged with a range of further domestic-violence-related offences related to his alleged abuse of Dunn throughout their years-long relationship.

Crowley, who reportedly dated Dunn from 2018 to 2023, has not entered any pleas related to those new charges ahead of his court appearance in November.
Alongside her stint on MAFS, Dunn hosts the Afterparty podcast. She has also become an advocate for domestic violence survivors, and is supportive of causes related to the issue on her social media accounts.
