Martin St-Louis and the Montreal Canadiens are already preparing for the first-round playoff series against the Washington Capitals.

The proof is right here:

While yesterday was a well-deserved day off for the team (except for the coaches), Martin St-Louis already has a plan for the coming days, and a plan for the first-round series against the Capitals.

A pretty intense schedule for the Montreal Canadiens: it will benefit Ivan Demidov

The team hasn’t had many practices in recent months, especially since the return of the Four Nations Face-Off, due to an extremely tight and condensed game schedule.

Full and regular practices were rare.

However, in the coming days for the Canadiens, that’s going to change completely.

“The Canadiens will practice Friday, Saturday, and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at the CN Sports Complex in Brossard before heading to Washington for the first-round playoff series against the Capitals.”

– Stu Cowan

“For those asking, the Canadiens will be practicing at Brossard every day until Monday’s game.

Allows them to reset their strategy, properly integrate Ivan Demidov, and perhaps tweak their strategy on their powerplay.

A very fortunate and much-needed break for MSL’s squad.”

– Marco D’Amico

It’s true that for integrating Ivan Demidov into the game plan properly, this is excellent, and these sessions will be very valuable.

We already can’t wait for Monday!
