Following a hugely successful season last year, which achieved the show’s highest ratings in over five years, My Kitchen Rules is gearing up for its much-anticipated return. Channel 7 has recently begun sharing a series of exciting teaser videos, giving fans their first look at season 15 and who will be competing.

The new contestants will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of 2024’s Simone and Viviana, who achieved the highest score in MKR history at their second Instant Restaurant and ultimately won the competition. Ahead of the upcoming season, which is expected to premiere in September, here are all of the teams that have been announced so far.

MKR's Michael and Rielli.

The most recent trailer features Michael, a self-proclaimed ‘meat master’, and Rielli, a baking queen with a flair for pastries. The Queensland-based couple are tipped to send shockwaves through the competition with a dish Colin Fassnidge predicts will “divide the table and divide the nation”.

“Time for these guests to see what the meat master is all about,” Michael says before introducing the dish, with fellow guests shown looking shocked and describing it as “yuck”.

While Michael proudly declares that meat is his “passion”, and he eats it for “breakfast, lunch and dinner”, he’s set to go head to head with fellow contestant Jacinta.

“I don’t eat meat,” she declares. “I am a nutritionist. I’m all about just eating real food.”

MKR's Lol and Lil.

The first team introduced to viewers ahead of the new season are best friends Lol and Lil from Logan, Queensland, who have known each other their whole lives. The competition marks the first time Lol has left her home state, let alone flown on a plane.

“It is huge that Lil and I are here on MKR,” Lol remarks, while Lil says, “We’re from Logan, we’re fighters, and we’re gonna keep pushing on”.

The trailer also teases that the pair will have a rivalry with the ‘meat master’ Michael, who calls them the “Logan bogans”.

“I can’t wait for him to see us cook, and really eat his words,” Lil shares, with Lol adding, “And maybe choke on them a little bit”.

There was plenty of speculation late last year over whether Manu and Colin would be involved in the next season, with fellow celebrity chefs Curtis Stone and Gordon Ramsay tipped to join the series “to stir the pot”.

Colin confirmed to Yahoo Lifestyle in November that not only will he and Manu be returning to MKR in 2025, but he also loved the idea of Curtis and Gordon sitting on the judging panel.

“Curtis is a good friend of mine, so I’d love to work with Curtis again because we’ve done it before,” he said, referencing the chef’s previous four seasons as a guest judge. “And then Gordon, I actually worked for Gordon and Gordon’s a champion in the industry. I’d be proud to be on the show with Gordon.”

Colin went on to say that although certain people like to “stir up trouble”, most TV personalities in the food industry are friends.

“Also, if Gordon Ramsay was on the show, the ratings would go through the roof, which means I’ll get hired again for next year,” he laughed. “We’ve all got bills to pay, school fees, so whatever makes it better.”
