Terri Irwin has apparently been busy trying to set her son Robert up with the daughter of a huge Hollywood star.

Sources told Woman’s Day on Friday the Irwin matriarch, 61, is set to catch up with John Travolta over dinner to play matchmaker for her son, 21, and the movie star’s model daughter, Ella.

The Grease star, 71, who has long been a friend of the Irwins, is also said to be a fan of Robert on Dancing With The Stars US, with the insider speculating Terri won’t have a hard time convincing him of her plan to set up Ella and Robert on a date.

‘Terri would love it if Robert dated a girl like Ella and thinks they have a lot in common and have been through similar life experiences,’ the insider said.

‘They’ve both grown up in the spotlight and they both lost a parent at a young age and grieved publicly.

‘Terri knows how that never leaves you and it’s not something everyone can understand. Robert and Ella have that connection.’

The source went on to claim Terri may not have a tough time convincing John of the love match, as the actor is said to be a fan of Robert on DWTS US.

Daily Mail has reached out to representatives of the Irwin family for comment.

It comes after Robert opened up about his relationship status after another stunning turn on the dance competition with his partner Witney Carson last week.

Robert’s post-dance interview with E! News piqued interest when the Aussie hunk revealed he is single, while offering a clue that left many Aussie fans heartbroken.

‘We are still looking for the American girl,’ Robert said, before revealing Witney had been assisting in his quest for love along with his sister, Bindi.

‘Well you have to go through kind of a screening process, so submit your applications through my DMs,’ Witney said.

‘And then I will forward them to Bindi, and then we’ll see about the American tourist.’

Witney then gave Robert a stark warning after he declared he now has two protective older sisters.

Robert also gave potential applicants an insight into what he looks for in a romantic partner.

‘I think more than anything else, just genuine kindness,’ he said.

‘That’s so important, to surround yourself with people who are genuinely kind.’

Robert last publicly dated Rorie Buckey, the niece of the late actor Heath Ledger, but the pair called it quits in February 2024 after 18 months of dating.
