There are stories in hockey that go beyond stats and highlight reels, and Tobie Paquette-Bisson’s recent decision is one of them. In a league where players often chase bigger contracts and NHL dreams, Paquette-Bisson made a surprising and heartfelt choice: he turned down more lucrative offers from other NHL teams just to return to the Montreal Canadiens organization.

His loyalty and determination to come back to Laval Rocket, even at the expense of playing in the world’s top league, speak volumes about his character and his connection to Quebec hockey. After a challenging season in Syracuse, Paquette-Bisson’s homecoming is more than just a roster move—it’s a testament to his commitment and love for his roots.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and bringing a steady presence to the blue line, he’s set to play a key role for Laval once again. As he enters his third stint with the organization, fans can’t help but admire his dedication and look forward to what he’ll bring to the ice this season.

We love this kind of story within the Montreal Canadiens organization. In an interview on BPM Sports, defenseman Tobie Paquette-Bisson made some very interesting revelations.

Notably, he mentioned that he turned down much better contract offers from other NHL teams because he truly wanted to return to the Montreal Canadiens organization and nowhere else.

We love it.

He even turned down NHL contracts that would have given him the chance to play in the NHL-the best league in the world-in order to focus solely on the Laval Rocket. Wow.

He really wanted to come back.. a true loyal guy!

He will be an important piece for the Laval Rocket.

Tobie Paquette-Bisson confirms on our station BPMSportsRadio that he turned down a two-way NHL contract in order to sign with the Laval Rocket for next season. He spoke about a mentally tough season last year in Syracuse.

Paquette-Bisson chose the Laval Rocket even though he could have tried his luck in the National Hockey League.

That says a lot!

Tobie Bisson, 28 years old, is a 6-foot-3, 207-pound left-handed defenseman from Rosemère, Quebec, who tallied 14 points in 59 games last season with the Syracuse Crunch in the American Hockey League.

The previous season, he recorded 27 points in 69 games with the Laval Rocket, while maintaining an extremely solid plus-minus of +21.

We can’t wait to see him back!

Quietly, this will be his third return to the Montreal Canadiens organization, after also signing with the Los Angeles Kings in 2022.
