Principal sponsor of Seven’s upcoming reality show donated the two Bulleen homes to be renovated.
In these days of very tight network budgets, it’s now been revealed billionaire Adrian Portelli donated the two properties to be showcased in My Reno Rules.
That detail was missing from Seven’s press release on Thursday.
RealEstate.com.au reports, “As well as starring on the new series, Portelli’s rewards club company LMCT+ will be the My Reno Rules major sponsor and he has donated the two Bulleen homes that will be flipped on air by the contestants.”
The live prize draw, which will see the two finished homes become major prizes, will also be managed by Portelli.
It isn’t clear if viewers will need to sign up to LMCT+ to enter this aspect of the series. Endemol Shine Australia are producing the series hosted by Dr. Chris Brown, to screen in 2026.
Throwing some shade at Nine’s The Block, Portelli said online, “Bet my high school teachers never thought… I’D HAVE MY OWN TV SHOW ON CHANNEL 7! The Reno games looking a little dusty. Time for a fresh coat 👷♂️ The gloves are off! My Reno Rules – Coming to Channel 7.”
Meanwhile Seven News reported Portelli has been charged with nine counts of conducting or assisting in the conduct of an unlawful lottery, while his business Xclusive Tech, which trades under the name LMCT+, has been charged with 10 counts of the same offence.
In January not guilty pleas were entered on behalf of Portelli and Xclusive Tech.
NSW and Victoria did not have problems with the same lotteries held.
The matter is set for a two-day trial in the Adelaide Magistrates Court in September.
