According to journalist Luke Fox of Sportsnet, Team Canada faced an unexpected issue, forcing the team to announce a last-minute change of plans.

The players had a practice scheduled for 1:45 PM today, but that session was ultimately canceled due to transportation issues.

It’s far from ideal for the players’ sleep and recovery, but that’s part of an athlete’s life, and the guys will have to adapt.

Practice Canceled Today for Team Canada

Check out Fox’s exact post.

“Team Canada flew out of Montreal last night after the game.

But due to flight delays, they didn’t check into their Boston hotel until roughly 6 a.m.

Today’s originally scheduled practice has become an optional at TD Garden.”

We’ll keep you updated on any developments, but don’t expect to see all the players hitting the ice.

It looks like we’ll have to wait until tomorrow to know the lineup changes from Jon Cooper.

As for the starting goalie, we already have a big clue. Canada’s announcement on goalie Jordan Binnington could confirm tomorrow’s starting goaltender.

We’re also closely monitoring the health status of star defenseman Cale Makar, who practiced with his teammates yesterday morning but was unable to play in the evening game against Team USA due to an illness.

A nasty virus seems to be spreading in Canada’s locker room.
