What an absolutely incredible night for Canada. Our team finally defeated the United States in the grand final of the 4 Nations Face-Off, thanks to an overtime goal from Connor McDavid and an outstanding performance by goaltender Jordan Binnington.

Despite everything that was said before the game and the arrogance of certain Americans like Matthew Tkachuk, Canada responded on the ice and won the game.

After the victory, Brad Marchand didn’t hesitate to send a little message to the United States’ No. 19.

Brad Marchand sends a message to Brady and Matthew Tkachuk

Here’s an excerpt from his sharp message:

Brad Marchand on the Tkachuk brothers:

“Sometimes when you shoot your mouth off in the media, it bites you”

Well said.

Marchand was surprisingly quiet in the media before the game, but he had a little more fun after the win, which is definitely a good thing.

I loved his effort and commitment last night and throughout the entire tournament.

It’s worth remembering that before the game, and especially since last Saturday, the Tkachuk brothers (mainly Matthew) had been taking shots at Team Canada in the media and throwing jabs at several Canadian players.

In the end, it was those Canadian players who had the last laugh.

When you spit in the air, it falls back in your face, and the Tkachuk brothers learned that the hard way.

Personally, I loved this little jab from Brad Marchand. It was well-timed, and honestly, I’d even say it was well deserved.
