According to him, Kent Hughes should trade the Canadiens’ number 11, along with 100% of his contract, in exchange for Quebec forward Xavier Parent.

He believes Gallagher could really help the Devils in the playoffs.

“Adding Parent would bring a young presence to the bottom lines and complete the Canadiens’ lineup.”

Parent, a 23-year-old native of Laval, Quebec, recorded 106 points in 65 games in his final QMJHL season.

This season in the AHL, he has 11 goals and 13 assists (24 points) in 38 games with the Utica Comets.

As for Gallagher, he has 15 goals and 10 assists (25 points) in 57 games with the Canadiens this season.
