We have a major trade to announce in the National Hockey League between the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Seattle Kraken.

Moments ago, top insider Elliotte Friedman confirmed that Yanni Gourde is heading back to Tampa Bay, where he won two Stanley Cups, as part of a 7-piece blockbuster trade.

Yanni Gourde and Oliver Bjorkstrand traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning: Seattle Kraken acquires two first-round picks

“Seattle gets a first-round pick in 2026, a first-round pick in 2027, Toronto’s second-round pick in 2025, and Eyssimont in a trade with Tampa.

The Bolts receive Gourde and Bjorkstrand, as well as a fifth-round pick in 2026.”

 


 

Yanni Gourde, 33 years old, has 17 points in 36 games this season and earns just under $5.2 million per year.

He won two Stanley Cups with the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Oliver Bjorkstrand, 29 years old, has 37 points in 61 games this season and earns $5.4 million per year until 2026.

Michael Eyssimont, 28 years old, has 10 points in 57 games this season and earns $800,000 per year until next summer.
