Martin St-Louis Reacts to Alex Ovechkin’s Achievement

Immediately after number 8’s milestone, the Canadiens made a classy move by quickly posting a (live) video of head coach Martin St-Louis’ reaction.

Watch the video in question.

“Ovi, Marty here.

I just want to take a moment to congratulate you on this incredible achievement.
I was very lucky to play against you for many years.

I’ve seen you in action, and the fact that you’ve reached this goal is amazing.
Congratulations.”

– Martin St-Louis, Montreal Canadiens

It’s truly a beautiful moment!

Interesting fact: if the Montreal Canadiens do indeed make the playoffs, there’s a very good chance Martin St-Louis’ squad will face the Washington Capitals.

Speaking of reactions, check out those of Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin from the Pittsburgh Penguins.

We love it.

Ovechkin, now 39 years old, has already racked up 42 goals this season (in just 61 games), which is absolutely incredible on its own.

More details to follow.
