Strange response from Washington Capitals head coach Spencer Carbery regarding Alex Ovechkin’s return next season

And Carbery’s reaction spoke volumes.

Of course, he said Ovechkin “should” be back next year, but just the fact there seems to be some doubt sparked a lot of discussion.

Is that a real possibility right now?

If not, could next season be his last in the NHL?

We’ll have to keep an eye on it, but let’s just say Carbery’s answer has definitely stirred conversation in the past few hours and cast some doubt.

The question is worth asking.. Is it over for Ovechkin?
