Married At First Sight groom Jeff Gobbels has hinted at a surprising return to reality television – but fans expecting a stint on The Block may need to think again.

The 40-year-old electrician from Melbourne, who found love with bride Rhi Disljenkovic on the most recent season of MAFS, took to social media to reveal his sights are now set on the small screen once again – but this time, in the kitchen.

Jeff, who runs the popular foodie Instagram account Jeff Eats, shared a candid moment during a cosy dinner with his girlfriend Rhi and fellow MAFS bride Beth Kelly, where he teased the idea of fronting his own cooking show.

‘Would I do my own cooking show? I think I would,’ Jeff told his followers as he served up a home-cooked meal to the ladies.

Beth didn’t hold back her praise, exclaiming, ‘Yeah. You’re amazing. This is amazing. Like restaurant quality.’

‘Restaurant quality?’ Jeff asked, clearly chuffed with the feedback.

‘Yeah. Love that,’ Beth added. ‘I’m so impressed.’

The impromptu dinner party clip has since sparked speculation that Jeff may be eyeing a culinary career on screen, blending his newfound fame with his passion for food.

It comes amid rumours Jeff and Rhi were set to appear on The Block as contestants – speculation the pair have so far remained tight-lipped on.

But based on Jeff’s latest online content, it seems his focus is firmly on the food scene.

In a recent review posted to his foodie platform, Jeff visited the renowned Melbourne Italian eatery Osteria Ilaria and shared a detailed breakdown of his experience.

‘When I started Jeff Eats, it was not only to bring you delicious recipes you can make for yourself at home, but also to show you around some of the best restaurants and try some of the best food around Melbourne and Australia,’ he explained in the video.

Jeff raved about the beef tartare, describing it as ‘unreal,’ and rated the pasta and steak ‘sensational’ and ‘cooked to perfection.’

The ocean trout was ‘okay,’ while the dessert didn’t quite hit the mark. ‘The dessert was average if you ask me, but maybe you’re not,’ he quipped with a laugh.

Still, he awarded the overall dining experience a solid 8 out of 10.

Jeff’s unexpected pivot into the food and lifestyle space appears to be gaining traction with fans, many of whom have called for him to get his own series or guest role on shows like My Kitchen Rules or MasterChef.

It comes after the fan favourite groom announced that he has joined forces with former NBL stars Pete Hooley and Tommy Sheridan to co-host Ausmerican Aces: NBA Show.

‘It’s funny, fast, and always on point,’ Jeff told Daily Mail Australia last month. ‘We cut through the sh*t and say it how it is’.

Jeff is now talking MVP picks and defensive stats.

‘We discuss Coaches Mayhem, early predictions for the East and West, the MVP debate, and the Defensive Player of the Year race,’ the trio shared on socials ahead of the show’s third episode – which features none other than tennis star Thanasi Kokkinakis in the guest chair.

The popular podcast is already proving a hit with fans and regularly sees the trio chat to popular athletes.

Carina Mirabile, who also appeared on MAFS in 2025, has just dropped the first episode of This Is Chaos, her chaotic-good foray into the world of audio content.

The fashion-forward firecracker is joined by her real-life bestie, celebrity hairstylist Jacob Muller, and the duo are wasting no time serving unfiltered takes on fashion, beauty, empowerment – and everything in between.

And that’s not all.
