It’s often referred to as Australian TV’s night of nights, but some of the most recognisable personalities from the silver screen were noticeably absent from the 65th Annual TV WEEK Logie Awards on Sunday. Several reality stars were left off the guest list, including contestants from Married At First SightThe BlockMasterChef, and My Kitchen Rules.

It was also reported that The Real Housewives of Sydney cast wouldn’t be in attendance; however, two of the show’s stars made a surprise appearance on the red carpet. Sally Obermeder was the only person BINGE invited to represent the series, which was nominated for Best Structured Reality Program, while her co-star Kate Adams received an invite directly from the Logies.

“I was not going to miss this for the world,” Kate told Yahoo Lifestyle on the red carpet. “This last series was my series, and there was absolutely no way that you weren’t going to see me on this red carpet, by hook or by crook.

“To be fair, I was invited by the Logies. BINGE invited Sally, so that was their invite, but I had my own invite from the Logies. As far as I’m concerned, I feel like I needed to bling up the red carpet just a little. And I’ll never turn down a chance to get dressed up!”

When asked about her co-stars not receiving an invite from the network, Sally admitted to Yahoo Lifestyle she would have loved to have attended with the entire cast, even if they’re not all on the best of terms.

“It’s disappointing, as it’s an ensemble show. I didn’t do the show by myself. I’m talented, but I’m not that talented,” she remarked. “I wish we could’ve all been here together, and I know that BINGE wanted that too, but it’s not up to them.

“So it wasn’t like, ‘Only her’, I think it was like, I don’t know, but here I am repping everyone, even the people that hate me!”

Despite being nominated for a Logie, it’s yet to be announced whether The Real Housewives of Sydney will return for a fourth season. Kate Adams told Yahoo Lifestyle that although her feuds still stand with some of her co-stars, she would “definitely” return to the series.

“I’d do it for sure. I finished on a high, and maybe that’s the best time to go out. But in my book, I had a blast this series. I know some people did not, but I definitely did,” she said.

“I was really proud of what we produced. I think it was really popular, I had so much support from the public, and if there is another series – which maybe there won’t be, but maybe there will be. But it doesn’t matter, because I’ll always do something.”

Kate added that she would “absolutely” love to be a part of the rumoured season of Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Down Under, which would see cast members from both the Sydney and Melbourne franchises go on a holiday together.

“I love those Melbourne girls. I’ve actually never met Gina Liano herself, but I actually feel like we’d get along quite well,” she shared. “Everyone says it’d be ‘Kate versus Gina’, absolutely not. I think that both of us are really strong, independent. Gina, I respect her intellect, and I think she’d probably be the same with me. Just because we’re both strong doesn’t mean we would not like each other.”
