Sam Bennett has been on fire in the post-season thus far, and now he’s sent a message to the Oilers ahead of a crucial Game 4 for both teams.

The Florida Panthers have won back-to-back games in the Stanley Cup Finals, now finding themselves with a 2-1 advantage in the series, and while it’s been a team effort, superstar forward Sam Bennett has been a huge reason for their success.

In three games thus far, Bennett has posted 4 goals and a +2 differential, but it’s not only that he brings to the game, as he is also one of the more physically dominant players left in the post-season, wreaking havoc throughout the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

Now, ahead of a pivotal Game 4 that could see Florida take a crucial 3-1 series lead, Bennett has sent a very pointed message to the Edmonton Oilers, showing that the Panthers aren’t intimidated by this team at all.

“Sometimes you’ve got to take a punch.”

In Game 3, there was plenty of punches being given and taken on both sides, as we saw several physical encounters including a line brawl, but with the Oilers down 6-1 in the game, there was very little intimidation or getting even coming from that side of the series.

With Game 4 set to take place on home ice for the Panthers, they’ll look to use that raucous crowd and their red-hot team that has yet to see great player from their best two players to take a commanding 3-1 lead in this series, and from Bennett’s comments, it’s safe to say that after a chaotic Game 3, we’re set to see another incredible encounter between these two rivals.
