Kyle Sandilands celebrated his 54th birthday on Tuesday and while he was lavished with gifts and praise, he received a somewhat savage birthday present from his wife Tegan.

During The Kyle & Jackie O Show, the shock jock revealed that Tegan had bought him a knitted Balmain sweater that was a few sizes too small in order to motivate him to lose weight.

‘I got a beautiful, let’s call it, a goal weight jumper,’ he told his co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson, 50.

‘I’m not in it yet. I could get in it,’ he said, adding that he looked like a ‘cyclist’ when he tried the jumper on.

‘How much [weight] do you think you’d have to lose to get into that?’ Jackie asked the radio personality.

‘Only about 15kg,’ he said as the studio erupted into laughter.

‘Oh, that’s doable,’ Jackie sarcastically quipped.

Last year, Kyle sensationally revealed his body weight live on The Kyle and Jackie O show.

The radio king and his co-host were discussing Body Mass Index’s (BMI), a measure of body fat based on height and weight.

‘I weigh 126kg of meat,’ he proudly proclaimed.

A producer on the show then disclosed the ‘healthy’ BMI for a man of his height.

‘For a 6ft1 man, you should weigh somewhere between 75 to 91kg,’ she said.

Despite the shock revelation, Kyle said at the time that he has no plans to start exercising.

‘Then you’ve got to go to the gym and ugh, it’s too much. No one give a s**t about all that. No one,’ he exclaimed.

‘Well actually that’s not true, most people do,’ he added.

Last month, Kyle made his big screen acting debut on the Gold Coast set of Australian action comedy film Zombie Plane.

The radio shock jock brushed shoulders with international star and rapper Ice-T, 67, who was also spotted on the set of the upcoming flick.

Filming for the day took place on a lavish yacht, where a model could be seen stretching as she prepared for filming.
