The Block‘s Han and Can have had several on-screen conflicts throughout this year’s season, and this time they’ve had a run-in with the show’s producers. The couple became infuriated in Tuesday night’s episode when a producer stepped in and told them they had much less time left in the day than they had previously thought.

The teams have a shorter working week this week due to a long weekend, and not only are they doing their regular work, but they’re also working on a challenge at Hepburn Spa where they must each create a bathhouse room. The bathhouse has already caused conflict between the girls and Sonny and Alicia, who accused them of copying their design.

The winner of the challenge will be given a caravan worth $250,000, which they can offer as an extra with their home on auction day. It’s a huge prize, so every team has been working hard to get through the week and finish the challenge.

Well… all teams, except for Han and Can, it would seem.

Han and Can left fuming at The Block producers: ‘They can’t do that’

The girls spent the last day of the week getting things done for their room, before heading to the Spa at 5:15pm, not realising that it’s tools down at 6pm — not 10pm or even later as they had originally thought.

When a producer reminds them that they have just minutes left to get their work done, Han was left fuming.

“6pm tools down tonight, Block and bath house,” the producer told them, with the girls angrily responding that they were told they could work til late in the night.

“F**king hell!” Han yelled. “They can’t do that! It’s already a short week, how the f**k are we supposed to get anything done?”

Han was visibly upset when she and Can arrived at the spa, and Han maintained that she had no idea that they weren’t allowed to work past 6pm.

“We haven’t even started, and if I’d known that earlier, I would’ve been out here earlier,” she said as they raced to do what they could in the remaining 40 minutes or so.

“I understand that Han, but everyone else has been here and finished,” the producer told her.

Once the clock hit 6pm, Han and Can were forced to return to the site, and Han was very upset.

“I hate letting people down … I was literally going to do an all-nighter there tonight. If I had known … they literally sprung that on us at 5pm, it’s not fair,” she told Can.

“Just breathe, because it’s not worth it,” Can told her. “Your mental health is not worth compromising.”

Han added that she was distressed because the spa isn’t their own space, so she felt like she let other people down.

While all of this is going on, the other teams were shown enjoying their night together, having a few drinks and playing games. It comes after the pair were excluded from a group dinner because they were unwell, and Robby and Mat didn’t want them near Robby’s baby and a pregnant Emma.

The Block viewers left stunned by Han’s ‘tantrum’

Many viewers were left surprised by what they are calling a ‘Hantrum’, with one person writing on Facebook, “Another day, another Hantrum! Perhaps if they bothered to attend the toolbox pre-start meeting, they’d know when tools down was!”

“It is everyone else’s fault, of course,” another said.

“I had to turn it off,” a third wrote. “I’m done with the drama.”

“Every other team was aware of tools down time, but not the girls what a joke,” someone else added. “Spent all day wasting time on a bench only herself to blame.”

“They always play the victim – no one told us it was tools down etc etc – while wasting time on anything but the task at hand,” one person added.

Others defended them, with one person saying, “They were told a different time, I would be angry too, give them a break.”
