It’s game day for the Montreal Canadiens today. After a day off yesterday, there will be action again in the next few minutes.

To set the stage, the Habs organization has just released an official statement to announce two things.

First, note that the Canadiens will hold a morning skate at 10:30 a.m. this morning. That means that in just a few minutes, players will begin hitting the ice.

Lane Hutson is likely to be the first one out again.

During this morning skate, we’re likely to get several clues about tonight’s lineup for the game against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Second, the Canadiens have scheduled a press conference for around 11:00 a.m., and it’s during this media availability with Martin St-Louis that we’ll get all our answers.

A morning skate at 10:30 and a press conference with Martin St-Louis around 11:00

Will Arber Xhekaj be back in the lineup?

Will Michael Pezzetta once again be favored over Joshua Roy?

Will Oliver Kapanen play his first game in 2025 with the Canadiens?

Will Samuel Montembeault once again be starting in net?

We’ll keep you updated on any developments, and we’ll have all our answers within the next hour.

Here is the excerpt from the statement in question:

“The Canadiens will hold a morning skate Saturday starting at 10:30 a.m. at the Bell Centre.
