A step closer to that prize!

The Block is officially back for its 21st season and the contestants this year are pulling out all the stops to transform their Daylesford digs into dream homes.
Emma and Ben, Han and Can, Britt and Taz, Sonny and Alicia, and Robby and Mat have set the stakes high, and of course, with every Room Reveal comes the chance to pocket $10,000.
With the room reveals underway, here are the winners.

Who won The Block Kids’ Room – Week 2
After a busy first week, the blockheads dived straight into a double challenge; having to produce two kids’ bedrooms each.
Britt and Taz made a comeback from last week with a space that had judges swooning.
Sonny and Alicia nailed budget week with bold wallpaper choices but copped flak for TV placement and that the styling of the room was a bit “too adult.”
Meanwhile, Robby and Mat’s playful first room couldn’t save them from a wardrobe malfunction and a second space the judges penned as “Nan’s sleepover suite.”

The judges ended up handing Britt and Taz the win with an overall score of 28.
Here’s how all the rooms stacked up:
House 1 – Emma & Ben ($17,554)
Depth of colour and richness of the textures.
Total score: 25.6
House 2 – Han & Can ($15,477)
Colour palette in the second room was on point but a few pieces were unfinished.
Total score: 24
House 3 – Britt & Taz ($16,970)
Lots of ‘yums’ from the judges this week, taking out the win.
Total score: 28
House 4 – Sonny & Alicia ($14,970)
The tiny TV lost them some points but the pink bedroom was a yes.
Total score: 24.5
House 5 – Robby & Mat ($24,432)
A few bits and bobs not quite complete!
Total score: 20.5
Who won The Block Main Bathroom – Week 1
The brand-new group of Blockheads was spared no easy first week, with a glue disaster striking just 27 hours before the room reveals.
Yep, utter chaos.
Britt and Taz, Sonny and Alicia and Robby and Mat all saw themselves in a glue-ge problem when they realised they had used the wrong glue.
Meanwhile, Han and Can thought they had things under control (which you should never think whilst under The Block crunch), but with only one tiler and floor-to-ceiling tiles being required, the pair were unable to finish their space in time.

Strong colours and texture, but that curved nib wall? Not a fave.

House 2 – Han & Can ($19,711)
Half-finished and the styling didn’t hit the mark.

Nice tones and a fresh feel.

Loved the Daylesford-inspired colour palette and layout. Missed the win by one point!

Nailed it with great functionality and styling. Taking out the win.
