All that stood between The Floor‘s final two contestants and the ultimate $200,000 cash prize was 45 seconds and a list of famous world leaders.

The thrilling new game show began with 81 contestants and ended with just two: 33-year-old engineer Patrick and 40-year-old MasterChef alumni Amina.

In the nail-biting final showdown, it was the image of former German Chancellor Angela Merkel that first caused Amina to stumble.

Then, with just seven seconds left on the clock, an infamous American President cost her the $200,000.

And just like that, her opponent Patrick became winner of The Floor 2025.

He put his head in his hands and shook his head in shock.

“Well done!” Amina congratulated him, with a huge round of applause.

Patrick and host Rodger Corser then head down to The Floor for one final time, where Patrick soaked in his win with all 80 other contestants.

“$200,000, it’s life-changing money. It’s incredible,” he reacted.

“It was stressful, it was fun, I made many new friends. I had a blast.”

In the best of three final duel, Patrick first won in his inherited category of ‘history makers’ before Amina levelled him by winning ‘vegetables’.

But with the most space on The Floor in his control, Patrick had the advantage of choosing the third tie-breaker category.

He selected world leaders, which he correctly predicted would have overlap with what he had spent a lot of time studying.

The Floor began with 81 contestants.

The rules were simple: take on your neighbours in their special subject in a sudden death duel. The more duels you won, the more of The Floor you owned.

A life-changing $200,000 was on the line – with Patrick taking home the cash and the title of Australia’s first The Floor champion!
