They’ve butted heads with their fellow contestants and foreman Dan – now, controversial Block couple Han and Can are aiming their frustration at the show’s off-camera production crew.

During Tuesday’s episode, the WA couple became incensed when a Block producer stepped in to let them know they had less time left in the day to work than they’d thought.

This week, all teams had been juggling their regular work on-site at The Block in Daylesford with a special offsite challenge at Hepburn Spa, each tasked with creating a bathhouse room.

The winner of the challenge will be awarded a caravan worth $250,000 that they can offer with their home as it goes to auction.

It’s a game-changing prize, and it meant all the contestants had spent the day at Hepburn Spa working hard on their bathhouse rooms.

All, that is, except Han and Can, who had spent the day working on The Block, and were seen on camera packing their car at around 5:15pm to head over to the Spa to pull a night shift.

That’s when a producer gives them a reminder that is apparently news to the couple: Work at both sites must stop for the day at 6pm.

“6pm tools down tonight, Block and bath house,” she tells them.

Han and Can are fuming, insisting that staff at the bath house had told them they could work there until 10pm. They continue packing the car to head over there, despite it now being 40 minutes and counting until tools down for the day.

“F**king hell!” Han screams as she loads heavy boxes into the car. “They can’t do that!”

“It’s already a short week – how the f**k are we supposed to get anything done?”

The meltdown continues as they arrive at Hepburn Spa, Han visibly upset as her partner tries to calm her down.

They race to do what they can before tools down, with Han still fuming at the show’s production.

“We haven’t even started, and if I’d known that earlier, I would’ve been out here earlier,” she says.

Han keeps arguing with the producer as she does what she can before tools down.

“I understand that Han, but everyone else has been here and finished,” a producer can be heard telling her.

Soon enough, it’s tools down, and at 6:06pm the pair are back in their car and heading back to The Block, Han still upset at how the day had panned out.

“I hate letting people down … I was literally going to do an all-nighter there tonight. If I had known … they literally sprung that on us at 5pm, it’s not fair.”
“Just breathe, because it’s not worth it,” her partner tells her. “Your mental health is not worth compromising.”

One might wonder why none of Han and Can’s fellow contestants clued them in on the strict tools down time through the day – but it appears a division has formed between them and the other teams.

During Monday’s episode, Han and Can were left feeling hurt when they were the only team not invited to a group dinner.
