Are you only watching the Sunday night episodes of The Block?

The Block can’t seem to win lately. When viewers aren’t mad at the hosts or the judges, they are finding plenty of other things to be mad about.

This time, it seems people are annoyed with entire episodes and have been boycotting all but Sunday nights! One viewer took to Reddit to explain they are “watching only on Sundays”, adding that they “just can’t be bothered watching” the other episodes.

“Been watching the show for years, but recently I just can’t be bothered watching the weeknight episodes,” they wrote. “Same old stories, a scandal, a dramatic ad that drags on between episodes. These days I just watch it on a Sunday, gives a thorough recap of the week and has the judging (which has already been a bit questionable).”

Many others agreed, with one person replying, “Yup same here. First week we watched the whole week’s worth of episodes and by Sunday it’s just the same footage playing over and over again. Sunday covers enough.”

“It’s so incredibly boring now,” another said. “I was obsessed with this show for a long time but it’s nowhere near as challenging as it used to be.”

“I just watch Dan and Dani’s walkthrough online,” a third wrote.

“I dip into weekdays but fast forward a lot,” someone else wrote. “For me it’s the sponsorship gone wild. It’s just too much.”

“The sheer volume of repeated content is getting insane,” another pointed out.

“For the first time ever, I just watch the Dan v Dani summary on a Sunday night or Monday,” one person said. “I’ll watch the auctions out of interest but that’s it for me at the moment.”

The Block judges

“Even Sundays are getting hard to watch,” yet another shared. “They lost the plot when they decided drama or made-up drama in the series was more important than seeing the contestants learn and do actual work.”

“Thats what I did last year just watched the Sunday since they repeat the entire week anyway,” one person added.

“I had to laugh watching the reveals this past Sunday,” someone else wrote. “During some of the ‘week that was’ segments they’d show the most irrelevant clips for so many of the days, very little construction, and then segue into the finished product. So much of what they showed had zero connection to the final product.”

Some didn’t agree, with one person responding, “We are still watching all of it. We genuinely find it quite refreshing, pleasant television.”
