Ten fresh Blockheads are ready to roll up their sleeves but according to a new Block promo, which you can watch above, it seems some are far less prepared than others.

“I thought Scott and Cam were two different people,” newbie Blockhead Mat blurts out upon meeting the host Scott Cam.

“I thought I’d introduce myself because old mate here says he’s never watched the show,” Scotty jokes along.

While the blunder made it clear Mat hadn’t done all of his Block homework, it turns out he’s not the only one.

“Amateur renovator” Taz also has some reading to brush up on especially when it comes to construction terminology.

In one clip from the new season, Foreman Dan bursts out laughing as Taz mistakenly calls a ‘Speedhorse’ sawhorse a ‘seahorse’ instead.

Not to worry Taz – if history is anything to go by it’s not necessarily experience that will win you The Block, but grit.

If the thrilling new trailer is anything to go by, it’s not long before working relationships are tested.

Perth couple Han and Can can sense a “meltdown” coming on as Foreman Dan comes down hard on them.

“I’ve lost trust here, you’ve just gone behind my back” the Foreman tells the girls.

Tears soon follow as Han cries, “I feel like I’ve just been told off by my parent.”
