Billionaire bidder Adrian Portelli has officially revealed that he will be hosting a brand-spanking new home renovations show amid a rumoured rift between him and The Block big boss, Scott Cam.
If you thought behind-the-scenes tea was reserved for shows like Married At First Sight or The Bachelors, you are mistaken, because the home reno show reality TV goss is quite spicy.
On Thursday, Adrian Portelli — who rose to fame by ballin’ out on the final homes of The Block for multiple seasons — officially announced that he’s teamed up with Bondi Vet‘s Chris Brown for Channel Seven’s new show, My Reno Rules.
“Bet my high school teacher never thought… I’D HAVE MY OWN TV SHOW ON CHANNEL SEVEN,” Portelli wrote alongside a picture promoting the show.
Further in the announcement, Portelli seemingly dished out some shade towards his friends-turned-competitors The Block, penning that “the reno games looking a little dusty”.
“Time for a fresh coat. The gloves are off,” he continued.

The cheeky announcement comes shortly after The Block bigwig Scott Cam spilled some scathing deets on Portelli’s departure from the show.
To catch you up with the tea, after buying all the homes in last year’s season, Portelli confirmed that he will not be returning for the 2025 season of The Block, hence his big spend.
Speaking to Nova 96.9’s Fitzy & Wippa with Kate Richie earlier this week, Cam admitted that he asked Portelli not to show up for this year’s auctions.
“To be honest, we said to Adrian, ‘We’d love you not to come next year, if that’s all right.’ But you know it’s up to him, it’s a public auction and he can do whatever he wants,” Cam shared.
“He said he won’t come, but he may come. We don’t know, but we do want to give mums and dads the opportunity to have a crack at a Block house.”

In response to Cam’s mammoth tea spill, Portelli took to his Instagram, claiming the The Block bigwig was “talking porkies”.
“Scotty, you’re talking porkies,” Portelli penned.
“I told you guys I was leaving. There was never a conversation of being to sit out of this season.”
In a second IG Story, he went on to pull a snippet from Cam’s radio interview in which The Block host said, “Aussie families have a chance to buy these homes” with Portelli banned from the final auctions.
“Hyped up, over values, multi-million dollar homes. Just what the average Australian family can afford,” Portelli continued. Hours after these scathing IG Stories were shared, Portelli officially announced the arrival of his new home renovation show.

Portelli’s announcement comes right before the 2025 premiere of The Block, which is slated for July 27 at 7pm on Channel Nine and 9Now.
And with the billionaire bidder officially out, it’ll be interesting to see how this year’s finale goes down!
