The Block‘s Dan and Dani Reilly have marked the end of the upcoming 2025 season’s filming with touching messages following the “nice, hard, sad and happy” experience.

The couple announced the passing of their daughter, Billie Vera Reilly, in December 2024 at 10 days old. Two months after, they relocated to Daylesford, Victoria for the show’s 21st season.

“That’s a wrap on season 21 of @theblock and our time in Daylesford,” Dani shared as filming wrapped on June 1.

“It’s been nice, hard, sad and happy but I’m very much looking forward to being back in my space by the 🌊” she continued.

Foreman Dan said: “After 11 series as Foreman, it’s been a journey full of challenges, creativity, and the best team spirit you could ask for. From the early starts to the late finishes, I’m proud to have been part of another amazing season.”

Throughout filming, Dan and Dani Reilly shared how the Block community was rallying around them in the wake of Billie’s passing.

In March, the couple fronted a sausage sizzle at the local Delacombe Bunnings alongside host Scott Cam.

“We’re here for a fantastic cause,” Scotty began.

Dani continued: “We are flipping snags today in support of the newborn intensive care unit at the Women’s in Melbourne.

“That’s where our Billie girl was for the 10 days that we got to have with her and they’re amazing people – the best people that you’ll ever meet.”

In the wake of Billie’s passing, Dan and Dani have been actively raising funds in her honour, already collecting over $40,000 for NICU support.

Dan and Dani shared Billie’s story on her official fundraising page.

“After three long years, our dream of becoming parents finally came true. Through IVF, we conceived our Billie – a much-wanted and deeply loved baby girl. From the very beginning, she was strong, thriving through pregnancy, and we couldn’t wait to meet her.

“But in the moments before her arrival, everything changed. Billie suffered distress during birth, the cause of which will never be known, and her tiny body was deprived of oxygen for too long.

“Despite the incredible efforts of the NICU team, the damage was too severe, and our beautiful Billie was unable to survive.”

The upcoming 2025 season of The Block is set in Daylesford, a 90-minute drive from northwest the Melbourne CBD. As filming wrapped up, judges Shaynna Blaze, Darren Palmer and Marty Fox also celebrated the end of their time in the town with a series of photos from their final day on set.

“And that’s a wrap filming!!” Shaynna shared alongside a photo of her and Darren with Dan and Dani.

Marty said the same, sharing a smiley photo of himself and his fellow judges and familiar guest judge, landscaper Dave Franklin.

“It’s a big build this one, and there are a few differences with this build that we haven’t done before so that will be exciting for the folks at home to watch,” he teased to 9Entertainment.

“And there’s a really big design element to this year’s show, and also some beautiful scenery showcasing local Daylesford food and restaurants.”
