EXCLUSIVE: Now that the Blockheads have had three weeks to settle in, Dan and Dani were expecting big things from the Main Ensuites.
The couple made no secret of their high standards, slamming one teams workmanship as an “absolute dog’s breakfast” and pointing out another “ugly” tile choice.
Walking into Britt and Taz’s ‘spa retreat’, Dan labelled their shower screen an “absolute dog’s breakfast”.
Safe to say he didn’t think the arched door in the square entry was a good solution.
While Dani did approve of the tile choice she thought they’d be a “nightmare” to clean.
The tile horrors continued as Dan spotted the “ugly” grout Britt and Taz used in the shower.
“Why have they done this?” he scorned House 3. “It looks like a dirty white.”
Dan was so upset by the space he walked out leaving Dani in there to critique on her own.
Moving swiftly along from that harsh critique!
Surprisingly, Dan and Dani approved of Sonny and Alicia’s layout change… but that was about it.
Tile choice? Wrong. Concrete bath? Wrong. Basin selection? Wrong.
Dani felt immediate impact in Han and Can’s winning ensuite – although it was not the good kind.
“I don’t like it,” Dani said of their statement resin bathtub.
While Dani was concerned with the the tub, Dan had his eyes on another detail.
“I’m not sure about the candle ceremony happening to the side of it. That’s freaking me out more than anything,” he said.
Things improved in Emma and Ben’s main ensuite and Dan was pleasantly surprised by their tiles after initially predicting they were going to be “horrible”.
The same went for Dani who said she usually “despises” wall coverings in bathrooms but enjoyed how much it worked in House 1’s space.
Robby and Mat’s space got off to a strong start after Dani spotted tiles she and Dan “literally have in [their] own home”.
