We have an update regarding Montreal Canadiens forward Ivan Demidov.

As we reported just minutes ago, major news broke today as SKA officially released top Habs prospect Ivan Demidov, with reports now circulating that he’s on his way to join the Canadiens.

Now, when can we expect to finally see Demidov arrive in Montreal?

Ivan Demidov is already very close and will fly to Montreal within the next 48 hours

That’s what today’s journalist, Marco D’Amico, mentioned just minutes ago on X.

We strongly recommend reading his full article.

We’re so excited to see him in action, and I can’t even put into words how incredible it is what Kent Hughes and Jeff Gorton have just accomplished.

We believed it was possible, but many journalists tried to deny the signs that were surfacing.. But anyway, Ivan Demidov is now officially released from his contract with SKA.

What a turn of events.

Demidov, only 19 years old, recorded 49 points in 65 games with SKA this season, including 19 goals, and finished first in team scoring, despite very questionable usage all year and many games where he saw only two to three minutes of ice time.

In the playoffs, he added five points in six games.

He truly has special talent, and we can’t wait to see him wear our colors.
