There have been many rumors surrounding forward Sidney Crosby in the past few hours, leading up to the 2025 Draft. Some Montreal Canadiens fans quickly got excited.

That said, I don’t know where these rumors came from suggesting that Crosby was actually going to be traded during the 2025 NHL Draft, but one thing is certain – it became serious enough that his agent had to make a statement.

Despite being 37 years old, Sidney Crosby has made the decision to stay with the Pittsburgh Penguins. He does not want to leave the organization, and the circulating rumors are absolutely “unfounded,” according to Pat Brisson, who made the message very clear.

Sidney Crosby Has Made His Decision, and His Agent Sends a Clear Message

That should put some of the rumors to rest.

“Pat Brisson, agent for Sidney Crosby, told me just now in text message that speculation about Crosby leaving Penguins are baseless rumors.

So, there’s a name for you, too.

– Rob Rossi

The message from Crosby and his agent is crystal clear.

Crosby has decided to remain loyal to the Pittsburgh Penguins, and unless something changes, he wants to finish his career in Pennsylvania.

It’s quite surprising, especially considering the Penguins seem to be heading toward a long and painful rebuild, and are currently in sell mode (they’re trying to trade Rickard Rakell, Bryan Rust, and Erik Karlsson). But it’s HIS decision, and we must respect it.

Sidney Crosby wants to try to make it work in Pittsburgh, no matter what.

More details to follow.
