Three new forwards have just joined the Montreal Canadiens organization. In addition to Ivan Demidov and Tyler Thorpe (no, we haven’t already forgotten about him), Joseph Dunlap will also be finishing the season within the organization.

Let’s not forget yesterday’s other acquisition, in addition to Ivan Demidov.

Now let’s talk about Dunlap, because he could genuinely become a familiar name among Montreal Canadiens fans.

He has been compared by many to Lucas Condotta, who has played a few games for the Canadiens and is somewhat of the team’s 14th forward.

Alert: Joseph Dunlap Signs With the Montreal Canadiens Organization

See the official announcement:

Rocket agree to terms on a one-year, one-way AHL contract (2025-26) with forward Joseph Dunlap. Dunlap also signed a professional tryout contract for the remainder of the 2024-25 season.

He is already signed for next season and is expected to attend the Montreal Canadiens’ next training camp.

His name is likely to come up quite often in the coming years.

We absolutely have to mention that Maxime Truman had the scoop (or at least has been on the case) for nearly a week!

It’s now official! Solid work from Max Truman here!

Joseph Dunlap Joins the Laval Rocket as Reinforcement

Indeed compared to Lucas Condotta, Joseph Dunlap is a 25-year-old forward, standing 6 feet tall and weighing 185 pounds, who recorded 22 points in 39 games this season in the NCAA, playing for Ohio State University.

Dunlap is also a former teammate of goaltender Jakub Dobes.

Over the past two seasons, he’s put up 30 points in 53 games. Dunlap brings much more than just individual stats to a team (according to his coaches).

P.S. Obviously, the news of Ivan Demidov slightly delayed our attention toward Dunlap, but we still had to share this with you, as it’s quite an interesting signing nonetheless.
