The Block gets a new address each and every year and in 2025 five new couples will be building five new homes in none other than Daylesford, Victoria.

Not only is Daylesford home to The Block 2025 but it’s also Australia’s favourite regional town.

It turns out Daylesford is Scott Cam and the crew’s favourite regional town too.

Appearing on Today, the host revealed production spent $8 million in the local community during the three months they spent there.

“Food, cleaning, accommodation, we really push big to the town, we do a lot of tourism stuff, we showcase all the restaurants and did up the cinema,” Scotty said.

With that being said, here’s everything you need to know about Daylesford:

Where is Daylesford?

The idyllic country tourist town is about one hour and 20 minutes from Melbourne CBD.

The town is on the border of the famed Hepburn Springs spa region, and is a stone’s throw from wineries, regional parks and trails.

What do The Block favourites think of Daylesford?

Every year host Scott Cam packs his bags from his Sydney home for three months to film The Block, and he was happy to do head to Daylesford for a quarter of his year.

“I love all the different locations,” he says. “I get to experience a different town every year and it was great to spend three months in Daylesford for this series.”

For judge Shaynna Blaze, the commute wasn’t quite as far.

Daylesford and the surrounding region is already close to Shaynna’s heart. She has a country home in Kyneton, which is a 30-minute drive from the scene of The Block in 2025.

Shaynna thinks these properties are more than just holiday houses like the ones transformed in The Block series on Phillip Island.

“The fact that people living in Daylesford can get to work in Melbourne, by train travel, means these places don’t just have Airbnb appeal. They could be someone’s forever home,” she pointed out.

Daylesford has sentimental value to judge and real estate expert Marty Fox.

“I used to come here as a kid as my grandparents had property, so it’s very nostalgic for me,” he said.
